Come volunteer with the Friends!  We thrive on the energy of our volunteers – and it is a great way to connect with your community. Check out our current opportunities below, there is something for everyone. If you can’t make it to specific events, and want to find out other opportunities to help, send us an email.

March Winter Pop-Up Book Sale 3/7/26

We are looking for help with set up, clean up before and after the sale as well as cashiers and sorters during the sale. There are smaller tasks for cleanup and setup, but the majority of cleanup/setup is heavy lifting.

Board Position Available!

Book Sale Co-chair responsibilities: Work with senior book sale co-chairs, Mary Beth Janakas and Jeana Tecci to learn all the steps for running the book sale. Co-chairs help to edit flyers with current dates, email newspapers book sale articles & flyers, day of logistics, signup genius, and event promotion. These are shared responsibilities, they don’t have to fall all on one person!

Our monthly meetings are moving to the third Monday of the month this upcoming year, same time from 7-8pm at the library mezzanine September to June.

Looking for flexible volunteer opportunities or only day of volunteering?

Book Sorting: help organize the donated books to prepare for our book sales. We would like to set up an initial time to give a brief walk through of the storage space and system, but after that, you can come when you want/are able to, no signups needed. That could be once a week or a handful of times during the year. Low commitment but makes a big impact on our fundraising!

Day of Book Sale Help: this is usually the day of which includes set up, clean up, cashiers, book sorters. Check in on this page for events looking for day of help and our facebook page.
