Spring is around the corner – and we are starting preparations for our book sale to be held May 12 and 13, which means – we are putting out the official call for book donations! Please check out the donation guidelines below or https://www.foll.org/book-donation-guidelines/, books can be dropped off inside the library during normal library hours.

What, when and how details here:

What type of donations?

Hardcover fiction and non-fiction, large fiction and non-fiction paperbacks, graphic novels and all children and young adult materials.

The Friends really appreciate your choosing us to receive quality used books and media materials. Please check that your donations do not have water damage, ripped or missing pages, mold, stains, or debris.

Furthermore, keep in mind that there are a few items the Friends cannot accept including DVDs, VHS tapes, small mass-market paperbacks, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed collections, magazines, computer manuals, games or puzzles.

Where do I drop them off?

Kindly bring your boxed or bagged donations to the Library Circulation Desk. It would be most helpful for the staff if you could use boxes or bags that you can leave at the library with your donations. Thank you!

When?

During regular library hours!

Friday, March 10 – Have Dinner at Panera MarketStreet to Benefit the Library!

It is a snowy and cold Friday night, and you just can’t do pizza, again. We have the solution, and it will benefit the Library!

You can visit in person and show the flyer below or linked here (either printed out or on your phone screen), or order online or through the Panera App and use the code FUND4U. You can also pick up a flyer at the Library circulation desk!

2023 Annual Appeal

Won’t you be a Friend?

Because the library is about so much more than books, now and into the future.

January begins a new year – and the Annual Appeal for the Friends of the Lynnfield Library (FOLL). We invite ALL those who use and love the Lynnfield Public Library to renew your membership, or join for the first time. Our mailing will be going out by the end of the month, but if you want to get ahead of the pack, you can renew online – head over to FOLL.org or click on this link!

We are often asked – “Who are the Friends of the Lynnfield Library, and how is membership different than holding a Lynnfield Library card?“

The Friends is a membership organization that provides funding for the library above and beyond that from the town’s budget. FOLL funds 2/3 of the Library’s programming, 100% of the Museum Pass Program and so much more, building a community through enhanced access to programming and creating a library that is “so much more than books.” The majority of that funding comes from our membership dues – but what does membership mean for you beyond supporting the Library? For our spring book sale in May – Friday night is Members Only AND at every book sale you get a free book! Membership starts at just $25, allowing each of us to contribute a modest amount that together adds up to significant support for the Library and its programs.

We hope you will become a “Friend” today! Join/renew online or keep an eye on your mailbox.
