If the good weather has given you an early start on your spring cleaning, don’t forget your books DVDs and paperbacks! The Friends of the Lynnfield Library is seeking used books for its spring sale on Lynnfield Day (formerly known as Geraniumfest), Saturday, May 18, 2013. The Library book sale will take place on the Lynnfield Common from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather, it will move inside the library.
The Friends are seeking donations of small and large adult paperbacks, music CDs, teen and children’s selections, hardcovers and DVDs for this annual spring event. We cannot
accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed collections or magazines.
Bring your boxed or bagged donations to the Library Circulation Desk or leave them in the library foyer. The library is accepting donations of materials right up until the sale. If dropping off the books is not possible for you, we offer home pick-ups. Call Friends’ Board member Alexis Gilbode at 781.608.4179 to arrange a time for pick up. She will be happy to provide a receipt for your donation.
According to Friends’ President Janine Saldanha, “The Library is a tremendous resource for Lynnfield residents, young and old. The Friends raise substantial funds that enable the library to offer museum passes, DVDs and audio books, and the children, teen and adult programs that enrich us. Book sales are our major source of fundraising, and we ask you to please keep this in mind when you make your book donations.”
Would you like to help out at the sale or in other ways? Then please contact Friends’ President Janine Saldanha at 781.334.2046. Thank you for supporting the Friends of the Lynnfield Library!
