The Friends of the Library and Library Board of Trustees held a joint pot luck dinner on November 3 at the meeting house.  The evening was enjoyable and informative.   The Friends and the Trustees work well together to meet the goals of the Lynnfield public library.  Thanks to everyone who made the evening a success.

The Friends of the Lynnfield Library will be holding their annual book sale on Saturday, October 15, from 9AM-2PM at the Meeting House. This year the book sale’s “bag of books” special is from 1 -2PM allowing you to fill a bag with books for only $4.00! Members of the Friends organization are invited to preview all the wonderful merchandise at the Meeting House on Friday night October 14th from 6pm-8pm for first choice purchases. Friends who bring their invite postcard on Friday will get a free book! Not a member? Simply show up Friday night and join. This is the Friends’ most successful fund raiser!

Materials for sale include a wide variety of current paperbacks, beautiful fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, and books on CD. The Friends greatly appreciate the purchases you make.

The library is still accepting donations of gently used books and will continue to do so until the day of the sale. We look forward to seeing you there!
